We source exceptional coffees directly from family farms, roast them fresh weekly, and deliver them to your door — from harvest to cup, nothing is compromised.
"From the farm gate to your grinder — with nothing lost along the way."
Crest Coffee began as a shared obsession between two former barista champions and a veteran green bean importer. In 2016, we opened our first roastery in Alexandria with a single 10kg drum roaster and a waiting list of sixty people.
We travel twice a year to origin — not to take photos for Instagram, but to taste through micro-lots at the farm level. Our growers are partners, not suppliers, and we pay above Fair Trade minimums on every single contract.
Each coffee is available as whole bean or ground to your preferred method. All roasted to order, dispatched within 48 hours.
Five steps. Zero shortcuts.
We visit farms twice a year and cup hundreds of micro-lots to find the ones worth buying.
Direct trade contracts, fair prices, and sea freight in GrainPro bags to preserve freshness during transit.
Small batches on our Loring S35 every Tuesday and Friday. Each profile is developed over dozens of test roasts.
48-hour rest post-roast, then sealed in nitrogen-flushed bags with one-way valves and shipped same day.
Express delivery Australia-wide. Subscribe and never run out — we'll roast to your schedule.
Every method extracts different things. Here's how to get the best from your Crest Coffee.
Place a paper filter in your V60 and rinse with hot water to remove any papery taste. Discard rinse water.
Add 15g of medium-fine ground coffee. Pour 30g of 93°C water and wait 40 seconds for degassing.
Pour slowly in circular motions to 150g at 1:00, then to 250g by 2:00. Target total brew time of 2:30–3:00.
Use the inverted method for more control. Insert plunger to position 4 and stand upside down.
Add 17g of medium-coarse ground coffee. Pour 220g of 88°C water and stir gently for 20 seconds.
Cap, flip, and press slowly over 30–40 seconds. Stop pressing when you hear a hiss. Enjoy immediately.
Start fine and adjust until you hit a 25–30 second extraction. Taste and adjust dose ±0.5g if needed.
Use a WDT or tap technique to remove clumps before tamping with consistent 15–20kg of pressure.
First drops at 6–8 seconds. Adjust grind to achieve a caramel-coloured extraction with clean flavour.
Choose your frequency, pick your favourite origins, and we'll roast and dispatch on your schedule. Pause or cancel anytime.
One origin per delivery — hand-picked by our head roaster from whatever is tasting its best that week.
Two origins weekly. You choose both, with the option to mix roast levels and brew methods.
Keep the office stocked. 1kg fortnightly with a tasting card for the team and free grind service.
"The Kochere Estate is the best coffee I've had outside of a specialty café. The blueberry notes are unreal. I've been a subscriber for two years and they never disappoint."
"We switched our entire office to Crest and morale genuinely improved. Our clients always comment on the coffee at meetings. Worth every cent."
"As someone who's visited the farms in Colombia, seeing these coffees treated with this level of care and sold directly at proper prices means everything. Buy from Crest."
